A Closer Look At Your Favourite Nissan Concept Vehicle: The NISSAN CONCEPT 2020 Vision Gran Turismo
August 23 2021, Centennial Nissan
Last month we took a look at some of Nissan’s most creative concept vehicles and asked you to vote for your favourite car that didn’t quite make the cut. You cast your ballots, we tallied the votes, and one concept vehicle emerged as the clear frontrunner . . . the NISSAN CONCEPT 2020 Vision Gran Turismo.
Unveiled at the 2014 Goodwood Festival of Speed, this concept car was originally created in collaboration with the team behind the Gran Turismo video game franchise. The virtual version of Nissan’s stunning supercar was released in July of 2014, and proved so successful that Nissan’s advanced engineering team in Japan decided to put the wheels in motion and build the real deal.
This real-world embodiment of Nissan’s virtual car features Nissan’s signature V-motion grille, an advanced aerodynamic body, active suspension, and a four-wheel drive chassis. Using cues from modern performance models, this 2+2 sports car was designed from scratch, relying on digital design tools, top-tier aerodynamic technicians, and expert engineers to create an original sports car shaped by both emotion and the wind.
While this striking supercar has yet to make it to mass-market production, Gran Turismo players can test drive the NISSAN CONCEPT 2020 Vision Gran Turismo on a variety of tracks in the game’s digital environment.
