Things We Love About Our All-New 2021 Nissan Rogue SV, #6: It's A Hit

You know that feeling of satisfaction when you drive past a stranger's home and their front lawn is perfectly manicured? Or what about the gentlemen who arrives for an interview with a precisely ironed Oxford white shirt, a fresh shoe shine, and an immaculately executed barber's fade? Perhaps you've taken note of a coworkers vintage Tissot watch or the pristine paint job on your friend's old Adirondack chair.

You appreciate that they appreciate the finer things in life.

That's why we appreciate the sight of a new Nissan Rogue on PEI roads. We know that they know just how effective the new Rogue is. And the new Rogue is certainly becoming a very common sight.

Despite all the economic headwinds of the pandemic, despite the auto industry's inventory headaches, despite an abundance of competition, Canadian sales of the Nissan Rogue skyrocketed in the first-quarter of 2021. Sales jumped 67 percent to 9,218 Rogues in January, February, and March. By a long shot, the Rogue is Nissan Canada's best seller: 4 out of every 10 Nissans sold is a Rogue. Even with COVID-19's lingering effects, the first-quarter of 2021 was the third-best start to the year the Rogue has ever achieved.

Check Out Things We Like About The New Rogue #5 Here.

Why do people love this new third-generation Rogue so much? Well, we've been chronicling the reasons we love the new Rogue: refinement, lighting, fuel economy, the abundance of affordable features such as the panoramic sunroof, and the inclusion of tech such as the Around View Monitor.

But we're going to keep filling you in on all the other aspects of the Rogue we love, like the Drive Mode Selector's Off-Road mode, the sheer amount of cargo space (there's a Specialized TriCross in the back of our Rogue as we speak), and the major improvement in acceleration compared with the previous Rogue.

This is our best seller, and one of the most popular SUVs in Prince Edward Island. The second-gen Rogue that ran from 2014 to 2020 was a huge hit across Canada, and we knew that Islanders (especially current Rogue owners) were going to be anxious to get their hands on the very first copies of the new model.

And we did indeed let customers get their hands on the very first Rogues we received. But now we've done something a little different by taking delivery of our very own 2021 Nissan Rogue, a Rogue that we're going to put through its paces with a full winter test. We've heard great things about the Rogue, so we want to experience it for ourselves and share everything we learn with you.

It's an SV with all-wheel drive in Pearl White with the Graphite interior. That's the middle of three Rogue trim levels optioned to include the $2,300 multi-mode AWD system. The final tally is $36,128 including freight and pre-delivery inspection.
